Field Notes

Description:

A female (brown form) damselfly of the Powdered Dancer species.

Habitat:

Found on an unknown, non-native ornamental in high temperatures (90s Fahrenheit) not far from water (Ouachita River.)

Notes:

There were many other damselflies present of varying colors, most notably blue. I suspect there were male varieties of the Powdered Dancer among them.
