Black feathery antennae with red tip. Length: 20-25 mm (about 1 inch long). A very unique spot for me. Beetle with one or two hitchhiking mites, Ichneumon wasp (Ichneumonidae) and flying or winged ant possibly eating carrion that is on the beetle. Plus a Walnut Sphinx Moth (Amorpha juglandis) photo bombing one of the photos. And a Baltimore Snout (Hypena baltimoralis) also in one of the photos. A very active night at the front porch light.

Habitat:

Front porch light near woodlands and meadow and lawn.

Notes:

Thanks to my friends and group members at FB Bug Guide for helping me understand this spot and with ID of the moths.
