Field Notes

Description:

Very small orange balls. Not hard. There is a brown stalk that attaches to each ball. Could it be eggs?

Habitat:

It was fairly abundant mixed within bryophytes on the base of a Red Alder tree. Forest was a mix of deciduous and conifers. Damp.
