Field Notes

Description:

20mm length turquoise blue-green with bright orange trims at flanged perimeter, legs black with orange at joints.

Habitat:

Eucalyptus (yellow box, Victoria)

Notes:

This one was on the trunk of a quite large gum tree.

Argybee, your third pic is clearly in the leafhopper group and deserves its own spot. This looks like that giant one that you found that I would live to find one of. Might this be a nymph of that one?
Well Kate it could be a stink bug so beware of such juices... still trying to find this one without luck so far.
I picked one of those up yesterday and it oozed stuff all over me! (I probably deserved it for taking him off his tree in the first place) ah ha. Bizarre looking bugs hey. Awesome pics!
