Grey Heron

A Grey Heron perched on top of a Pine Tree. I had to watch him for a while as these guys usually just stand there for ages and give no sure signals of flight or movement. Unfortunatley on this day I didn't have my tripod so pointing and holding my camera and 300mm lens upwards was taking its toll on my arms. I'm quite pleased with this shot though as It's the closest I've managed to get to these Birds.
