Description:

A bird that was fishing in the shallow water beside the canal.
The Senegal thick-knee (Burhinus senegalensis) is a stone-curlew, a group of waders in the family Burhinidae.

Habitat:

Seen along the Kazinga Channel between Lake George and Lake Edward.

Kibuyu, I don't know! Is it or isn't it a Water Thicknee? Or is it a Senegal Thick-knee? They look pretty much the same to me...
Guess we did it together! I must have labelled it just as you were ID-ing it! I thought it was a Water Thick-knee...
I never saw you had it labeled as anything? It just said unknown spotting when I saw it
