Description:
Adults have a black abdomen which carries an irridescent hue of blue. They adorn a white spot in the center of their back. The wings are red and edged in dark blue.
Habitat:
It is a native of the Caribbean region and has been recorded from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Haiti, Dominican Republic, and Cuba. First recorded in Florida in Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, in February 1978 it can be found in South Florida.
