genus ID tentative. Has last three antennal segments about equal (middle one smaller in similar genus Acorynus), and a cross pattern on pronotum, which I think does not occur outside these two genera.
Ah well done Chun. Anthribidae family name to go in here? It still looks unusual for a weevil even if it is a common one. Longish thin legs and antennae.
Hi Mark, finally after 2 years I managed to identify this as Anthribidae weevils. Similar species : https://www.flickr.com/photos/liewwk/3532486484/ http://www.natureloveyou.sg/Minibeast-Beetle/Fungus%20Weevil1/Main.html
Yes, those 2 black hemispheres on it's head are it's eyes. I'll try to search for this species again and take a clear, detailed picture of it next time.
Really need a shot of mouth parts and front for good ID - might be common there but nowhere else in the universe. If those black things are its eyes maybe not weevil.?
