Description:
Attracted to an incandescent porch light.
Habitat:
Local habitat consists of mixed species northern hardwoods forest and wetlands that contain larval host species such as alder (Alnus incana) and willow (Salix spp.).
Notes:
This moth reacts to being touched or disturbed by pulling in its legs and wings so that it resembles a piece of bark or wood.
