Habitat:
Lives in fielded areas surrounding our house, but are daily visitors to our backyard to eat the seed we provide & to drink the water from our watering hole we have set up.
Notes:
Pictures are of the dust bath next to the "watering hole" and of the 2 "presents" the recently-bathing quail left for us. The quail, especially, seem to like bathing near the water dish...despite the fact that I have made a large dust-bathing area less than 12 inches away! I turn over the dirt in the man-made dust bath regularly, making it very fine (the smaller birds love it!)...& remove rocks & other debris.
