thanks Emma,i have 2 spots of portuguese duck's,it's the same duck,the comun Mallard,Real duck in portugal(Anas platyrhynchos),and one of a egipcian geese,and a whith swan that i like very much,but i dont know aw to copy the spot's link's to put here for you.i'am seeing that you have a hapy day spoting ducks,i'll trie to see if i know some one more
Thank you so much Antonio! There are so many hybrids of Ducks and Geese that it can be difficult! I was not paying any attention to them until i joined Project Noah and one by one i started discovering the various types. There are so many.
types!i would love to see a Mallard from Portugal . Post it when you get a chance!!.
if it was european,or better portuguese mallards i could elp you.but even in water and marine birds i'am not specialist the only field i can say that i know a few things it's forest and field birds of portugal,especialy in the north,here i can id a bird by the sound, the siluet,or the fligth,but they are very dificult to spot,most part are litle birsd's very nervous,it is need many time and very good photo material,so i focus my compact mostly in the ground:-)
