Field Notes

Description:

This is a medium to large dragonfly with a length of 1 3/4 to 2 inches (44 to 50 mm), with a fairly wide abdomen. The thorax and abdomen are orange to brown, and there are no markings. Each hindwing is almost triangular in shape, with the broadest part at the base where it attaches to the body.

Habitat:

Development greenbelt.
