Field Notes

Description:

This mushroom is orange, with a little red circle or ring. The stalk is whitish. The gills I didn't get a spore print of.
The Cup Fungi, is all orange accept a little light red circle form at the top of the mushroom. One of these mushrooms has a little yellowish cut or it was just made like that, I don’t know.

Habitat:

The habitat is was near a tree. Where a path in the woods was. it was surrounded in soil that is kinda dry. There was a lot of little rocks and pebbles. And other little grassy plants around it.

Notes:

Sometime in November, we went outside and went on a trail on our school campus. On that walk we found mushrooms,us (the students) took pictures of the mushrooms then we cut them out of the ground. We then put the mushrooms in a box and brought them inside, where then we would identify them and put them on vital signs.

Thanks to all the people that said my project noah was good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi, Your mushroom looks very similar to mine. On mine, it said it was a California Fungi. Your characteristics are not very like mine though. Yours has a red ring and mine has just a little red ring. Yours was by a tree and the soil was dry. My soil was wet and not near a tree. You did a nice job with describing what your mushroom looked like. Nice job!
