My group and I were assigned a area to look for mushrooms and we found a few different groups of mushrooms and they all looked the same. I did some identifying and I found a mushroom called Hydnum and its stem is about the same size as ours. The gills are the same and the mushroom shape and color are both the same. We went out in October and there was snow on the ground.
These are some characteristics of our mushroom.
