Notes:

I think I identified a mushroom called Macrocystidia cucumis. I found it on the edge of the forest. It was near/under some bushes with thorns on the stems. The color of the cap and stalk is orange-brown, and the gills are attached. There was no spore print that we could see, there was no collar. The cap was about 3 cm in diameter, and the and it was about 4-5 cm tall from the ground. The soil was covered in grasses and pine needles. It was in half to full sun, and the temperature was about 15ºC. There were many Pine and Birch trees in the area. The cap was not sticky/slimy. The path through the tree of life is found in the description.
