Description:

Whirled leaves, thin and serrate. Hollow stem.

Habitat:

Forest and riparian areas

Notes:

I saw this plant at the field station often during the summer, and in this instance, I looked inside one of the stems. In the third picture, you can see the dark outline of a weevil, which may have caused the damage to the plant in the first place. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
