Description:

White flower with six petals, prickles on stem, serrate leaves.

Habitat:

Forest undergrowth

Notes:

There are so many species within the genus, I doubt it would be possible to identify the exact species with just these pictures. This series shows the flower, leaves, and stem of the plant, in case anyone needs a search image. The insect on the leaf in the third picture is an assassin bug (family Reduviidae), Zelus luridus. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.

Latimeria, is the Assassin Bug listed as a separate spotting? Since the focus of this spotting is on the Blackberry. This spot should be removed from the Eastern Assassin Bug mission. The bug can be added under it's own spotting (if it hasn't been already).
