Description:

Males are blue with two brown wing bars. Females are mostly brown. Large silver bill.

Habitat:

Spotted at a wetland preserve in Utah. Riparian forest with cottonwoods.

Looks like beak that can crack anything open ! I envy you guys with these colourful birds around. Most of the birds in our neighbourhood are a drab grey-brown. This one is particularly attractive.
