Description:

A short-lived perennial in the daisy family. Native to the Cascade and Rocky Mountains of Alberta, British Columbia, and Washington State. Still in an emerging state showing its purplish bracts.

Habitat:

Spotted in the Mount Rainier National Park. Prefers to grow in ridges, crevices, and rocky slopes.
