Field Notes

Description:

Tiny moth with a diamond shaped design in gold on its back..precious find.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty in the Dooars region of West Bengal, India. There were moths everywhere once the porch light came on, in the evening. In the morning many were underfoot quite literally and their broken up little (and not so little bodies) vanished swiftly thanks to an army of ants. I almost trod on this one.

Notes:

Picture has not been cropped.
