Field Notes

Description:

Large member of the mole salamander family. These particular specimens were young adults and varied from approximately 4 to 7 inches long. The individual in the second photo was approximately 4 inches long.

Habitat:

Found on a wet, rainy rural road.

Notes:

"As this is a sensitive species, and like all species, is worthy of our protection, the locality information has been altered to protect this organism."
