Thank you everyone...This one was approximately 2.5 inches long and had a glow on its posterior end
I would in the meanwhile tend to Lampyridae.
i recently spotted a firefly larva feeding on a snail http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/710016004
Looks like a beetle larva and reminds me somehow of a Firefly larva, Lampyridae or Net-winged Beetle, Lycidae?? http://www.payer.de/amarakosa2/amarak2010629.jpg http://www.payer.de/amarakosa2/amarak2010630.jpg http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2008/05/05/firefly-larva-7/ http://www.whatsthatbug.com/2007/01/01/beetle-larva-either-firefly-or-netwing-beetle/ http://www.mysabah.com/wordpress/glow-worm-of-borneo/ http://flickrhivemind.net/Tags/firefly,larva/Recent
