Description:

A light grey moth with some distinctive markings that help for identifying.

Habitat:

Spotted on a hardwood tree along Slunger Creek at Lake Catherine State Park.

Notes:

The wingspan is 62–75 mm. Adults are on wing from May to July and September to October in highland areas.
The larvae feed on Carya species.
