Field Notes

Description:

Please help. A tiny thin snake like creature. Is it a snake, is it a worm or a leech???It is shiny brown with a tiny head. Sometimes it looked like a tongue came out but that could be my vivid imagination. It moved exactly like a tiny tiny snake.
See video below

Habitat:

In the classroom, in the centre of Singapore!

Notes:

My colleague found this in her room and asked me if I knew what it was. It moved like a snake, head up and the rest of the body followed. Not like a worm.

We have it in a small container now just until we found out what it was. Now we know what it is and what it needs we will release it tomorrow into a moist garden patch so it can eat some ants. :-)
Lovely find. Precious thing. They are suffering some from human activity.
YEAH! Thank you Mark!! The kids will be soooo excited (just a bit more than me I guess :-))
