We went to the Huston Zoo and saw this beautiful animal. I wish that somehow we could save more before their beauty leaves this world forever.

Hi CoushattaRene, and welcome to Project Noah! It looks like you have an Asian elephant here (you can tell it apart from the African elephant as, amongst others, it has smaller ears). The scientific name for the Asian elephant is Elephas maximus. You can change this by clicking on Edit this spotting. Enjoy your time on this site!
