This is a Rhino I saw at the Huston Zoo. The thought of them disappearing from our planet is upsetting.

Rhinos have poor eyesight, but very well-developed senses of olfaction (smell) and hearing. This might explain why a rhino will charge when startled.

Very upsetting indeed, though the black rhino is far more threatened than the white.
