Field Notes

Description:

In full breeding plumage, male is very bright yellow-green but for most of the year colours are duller; female has grey-green plumage and juvenile is streaked. All birds show yellow wing patches and have yellow rumps and side to tail. Bill pinkish and conical, used for feeding on seeds. Outside breeding season forms flocks.

Habitat:

Favours wooded areas, often beside water, and feeds mainly on seeds. Widespread winter visitor throughout region although numbers vary from year to year.

Definitely a Greenfinch (Carduelis chloris) but not a juvenile.
It did look green, and I thought perhaps a female chaffinch or a greenfinch. Thank you both, Noe and Pili & António. :)
it can be a carduelis chloris,or a carduelis spinus,did you see the colour?it seems green in the photo
