Field Notes

Description:

These types of dogs can ither be yellow or light or dark brindle colored. The dog's nose is black, tan or the same color as the dog's coat. "Black muzzles are usually preferred and any other color is considered a fault. The ears are medium-sized and hanging. The tail can be quite lengthy. Many are born with a short tail or have a docked."

Habitat:

Somwhere where there is a family.

Notes:

There are 8 different types of currs, these are the brindle colored blackmouth pups. These dogs are bred to be a Southern hunting dog and from what I can tell these pups aren't afraid of much. They don't mind other animals and they are not afraid of cars or lawn mowers. They do as they are told and are quite playful. Also, it has been documented that the dog in the film "Old Yeller" was a tan curr.
