Field Notes

Description:

Orange and black patterns and spots on wings. Wingspan 3cm. This moth's colours are quite faded, they're usually much brighter.

Habitat:

Attracted to night light in backyard.

Thanks Neil. They're quite common up here. Usually much brighter in colour though as mentioned. I think I know that song.
Salt and Pepper moth puts that song in my head :/ Great spotting, Leanne. I've never seen one of these moths before.
