Field Notes

Description:

This is a purple leaf hopper pair, found about 8ft off the ground. They are performing their mating ritual I believe. Very beautiful species, and the tones of the image go together beautifully.

Habitat:

Found on the leaf of a species of Canadian maple tree in a forest of pine and maple right on the hedging of my backyard in New-Brunswick, Canada.
