Field Notes

Description:

This tree stands a little over 3 meters tall, has a trunk only about as big around as my own hip, with an upward, ball-shaped tangle of branches bearing many small, green leaves and not quite as many yellow, oblong-ish grapefruits.

Habitat:

A lush yard near Lake Killarney in central Florida. The trees are tall, bushes thick and plants well-watered. It's a very friendly place for flora and fauna.
