Description:
Katydids are green with numerous veins on its wings, causing this insect to closely resemble a leaf. Such an appearance serves as excellent camouflage from predators.
Habitat:
Katydids' preferred habitat is that adult Katydids can often be seen perching on low shrubs in woodlands and forests. Baby Katydids are often with their mother or hidden alone. Katydids' preferred range is that they can be found all over the world but they prefer tropical areas.
Notes:
This Katydid was found in North Carolina and I caught him in a cup, studied him, then let him go.
