Description:

Fan palms growing straight from the swamp.

Habitat:

Seen at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve. It is abundant in the park and native to northern Mexico and the southeastern US.

Notes:

Fruiting bodies/drupes (not pictured) resemble blueberries.
