Banded Garden Spider

I did bring a jacket but I found it awesome considering I came in the last week of Feb..first week of march....Monterey Bay was fantastic. See my seal I found in Carmel (link below).....was my first time out on the Pacific Coast (have been to Southern Cali since then) and I loved it! Muir Woods was the most amazing thing I have ever seen and stumbled into it simply by accident. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/8159790

I love the San Francisco weather! Excellent! We did a week there a few years ago and travelled from San Francisco to Monterey Bay and stopped at every beach part along the way...took us 9 hours for what should be a 2-3 hour drive. Was fantastic. And then we came back through San Jose and I now know what they mean when the talk about the California happy cows..brilliant rolling green meadows for those cows.

And, yes, I work hard on my garden...I feel like I shouldn't post pictures of flowers not from Michigan though...I will get some of our local plants this spring..we have some beautiful wild violet in the yard. And, I have never photographed spiders much (except this one) but we have some great ones.. will try to capture them in the spring.

Well it's now January and no snow to speak of at all.....unseasonably warm here this week. Was in the 40s today.

Maybe, she never laid any eggs that we saw. If she had we might have thought she abandoned afterward.
