Its beautiful combination of purple and yellow looks all the more beautiful in the oozing frost on a lovely winter morning. It, indeed, is a purple queen with a humble yellow crown. :)

Lueba- I guess you're right about this plant. It does spreads like mad. Sadly, there aren't any dogs anymore in my house with me, so, no fear of any allergies. Thanks for the advice. Didn't know about the allergy stuff, will keep that in mind.
This plant spreads like mad and will take over if not kept in check. Also, dogs get allergies - skin disorders from Tradescantia.
/Susi- rightly said... Sachin- yea.. the colors are really nice.
Wow.. that's cool to know. This plant indeed is very easy to maintain and grow... :) and its awesome beautiful purple color intrigues me all the more Apple. :) I'm from India, and it treats me the same way- flowers all summer lng, and u see one or 2 in the winters too! :D
I love this plant. I actually grow it in the United States as a house plant. Beautiful and so easy to take care of...flowers all summer long for me here in the Great Lakes region.
