Field notes: The fungi was found in the woods, in a ditch and it was near a bunch of oak and birch. It was in the shade, the soil conditions were good. It was right near the pond and in the woods, but not deep in the woods. The temp. was about 60 degrees, and it was fall. I’m not sure the exact measurement but I know it was as big as the mushrooms in the picture. The cap color is white, or brownish because its dirty, the gills are attached, the spore sprint color is white, no theres no collar, the cap shape is a circle, cap size big! I think I found my mushroom, its genus lactarius!
