Description:

Black, bigger then a 50p peace, body about 2cm in length.

Habitat:

My house in sheffield england, lives in the corner in a funnel web.

This is not a good photo to identify the species, sorry bob. Black widows body shape accompany the common corner spiders, such as S. grossa. However, male black widows are indeed venomous, however small they may be. They may not be able to penetrate your skin on the normal areas, and are more likely to run due to their size. What the poster found seems to look more like the common house spider in body shape, but other then that, nothing else can really be said about it without clearer photos.
