Field Notes

Notes:

The magpies have a beautiful call, not so beautiful however when it's breeding season and they swoop you. I had one connect with my bike helmet once and I nearly had a heart attack - thought someone had thrown a rock at my head!

I don't remember that, I'll have to look it up. 9th generation is pretty amazing.
Remember an elderly gent got killed by one in Melbourne a couple of years ago? Not to be treated lightly these - far too smart and protective of territory. We have a family 9th generation with us. They are incredible to get to know. If they know you you are completely safe. Nice photo rachaelb.
