Description:
Praying Mantis are typically green or brown and well camouflaged on the plants among which they live. Their front legs have rows of sharp spines which are used to grip prey. Mantids have a triangular shaped head with a large eye on each side that can see the slightest movement up to 35metres away.
Habitat:
The Praying mantis's preferred habitat is widely distributed throughout the tropical, sub tropical and warm temperate regions of the worlds. The Praying mantis's preferred range is that many species of praying mantis are found in the North and South America, South Africa, Europe, the Southern parts of Asia and some parts of Australia.
Notes:
This Praying Mantis was found on the front porch of my house.
