Field Notes

Description:

The has some small rusty spots on the top of the mushroom. On the bottom their is gills on the bottom. The spore color is rusty light brown.

Habitat:

It was by some bushes. But their was no other mushrooms around the other mushroom. We found them the mushroom at the edge of the woods. The stalk to light brown to just like the mushroom color is.

Notes:

The mushrooms that my group found are all different kinds of shapes, colors, and some are small and some are big. Some are tall and some are small in height. My mushroom that I found is shaped just like a flower. The mushroom is light brown on the top. We found the mushroom at the edge of the woods, close to a couple of bushes. The area was a damp place. Leaves were on both sides of the mushroom. The spore color rusty brown. My mushroom has gills. I think that my mushroom is Strophariace mushroom. I narrowed it down to this one.The mushroom has the same genera that the Storphariace has. It looks like a flower. We had snow before we went out side. And the mushroom was still alive. The stalk is a whitish. The date that we went out side was Nov 14. We had snow a snow fall that same week. On Nov 14 the day was a warm, nice day out side. Were I found my mushroom their was no other mushrooms near by. Their was no trees by my mushroom. For websites to find what mushroom I had,I used //en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strophariaceae
