We are having a problem offering suet at the moment because the raccoon absolutely loves it & keeps stealing the feeders! We have tried all sorts of ways of securing them but raccoons are clever critters & this one has so far chewed through thick wire, heavy duty nylon rope & worked out how to undo snap hooks! We are now thinking of hanging the feeders from the trees using steel cable or chains!
Use Orange Burst All-season Suet by Heath Outdoor Products. Around $1.00 for 11.25 oz. to attract a variety of colorful songbirds. Great for summer too. No melt up to 122 degrees.
thank you! All the photos in the series were taken one after another within less than one minute. Lots go on at the feeder. This was their Xmas party. HA!
Very nice! We have literally dozens of bluebirds here but I have never ever seen any at the feeders even though we have a bluebird box only 20' away that was occupied this summer. They even ignored the dried mealworms I bought specially for them though the grackles snapped them up!
I really respect that Atul. I find birds very challenging after lots of macros. I love the birds. I have one of the best books I bought a few months ago never knowing I would start photographing them. My first bird was October 29th of this year. I love them. We have the suet and regular bird seed. They must like the view. HA!
you should start clicking birds too Carol its real fun ,thats what i am into ,more of birding . i am sure you will love it !
Some great feeder birds there! What did you put out to attract the bluebirds?
I couldn't believe all these birds were there at the same time, plus the female cardinal, male and female downy woodpecker and some titmouse birds and a junco, but they were coming in and out so fast. I was barely able to take photos I was so excited. WHAT"S GOING ON? HA!
nice assorted collection!
