Description:

this little guy is about 1" round

Habitat:

tropical dry forest in NW Costa Rica beginning of dry season.

I agree, there are also in other Pyrisitia sp, like P. nise (nelphe) a lot of variation within the species. I did not focus on male and female, there might be also some differences.
Thanks Bayucca! It is interesting that of all the live speciman photos there is such color variation between individuals from Mexico to Panama. I did see the Dina Yellow but thought that mine must be another species local to the area because of the vast marking differences.
