Description:

These small, delicate purple and white flowers are pleasing to the eye and useful as well by helping to control erosion and attracting pollinators including bees and butterflies. This plant is the larval host for Phaon Crescentspot, Buckeye, and White Peacock butterflies.

Habitat:

Distribution
USA: AL , AR , AZ , CA , FL , GA , HI , KS , KY , LA , MD , MO , MS , NC , NM , NV , OK , OR , PA , SC , TX , UT , VA
Native Distribution: Southern half of the US to the tropics.
Native Habitat: Anywhere from ditches and roadways to beaches and fields.
