http://www.birdlife.org/datazone/speciesfactsheet.php?id=2727 This page does not list this bird anywhere near the north west coast of Sabah and it is unknown on the mainland.
This is supposed to be a Grey with grey undertail coverts: http://www.arkive.org/grey-imperial-pigeon/ducula-pickeringii/ My books suggest the Green has a Green/Bronze mantle while the Grey has a Green/Mauve mantle.
Guys, I have been looking at my pictures of Green Imperial Pigeons to see if there are any Greys amongst them. According to my books the Greys do not have Chestnut undertail coverts like the Green does but I can just see Chestnut in picture 3. This leads me to believe that this may in fact be a Green. Any thoughts or comments?
