Field Notes

Description:

Small medium parrot red-orange head and neck, yellow breast, all shades of green through blue to a dark teal tail, some black flecks and edges to wings feathers.

Habitat:

Range eastern NSW, Victoria, Tasmania. Prefers cooler maybe higher altitude areas of eucalyptus forests but readily populates urban fringes.

Notes:

Lying at the base of a large Lemon scented gum (Corymbia citriodora). No obvious reason for death.
