Field Notes

Description:

Shade-loving conifer native to eastern North America. Easily identifiable by the double white stomata stripe on the underside of each needle.

Habitat:

Moist hillsides and ravines.

Notes:

Quite a few in this area. No sign of wooly adelgid.
