Nuthatches like to feed in odd ways..often upside down if possible. That is often a defining characteristic for them. They are a beautiful species and fun to watch at the feeder. Great shots! Beautiful cardinal as well.
I kept on changing the ID of the second bird. I didn't know what it was. Thank you so much!
I agree, at first glance I thought the second picture looked like a nuthatch as well.
My new hobby -birds while the insects and spiders rest for the winter. And have a wonderful Xmas with family and friends. :) Thanks so much for your nice compliments.
