Field Notes

Description:

About an inch long, various shades of brown. Wings with two white lines across their width. Judging by the darker shades of brown and the antennae, I'd say this one is a male.

Habitat:

Forest

Notes:

This was the first adult I had seen and was surprised by how tiny it was. I raised the caterpillar and it was a good two inches at least before it pupated; I was expecting something a little larger!
