Field Notes

Description:

Reddish-brown hairs in the center of its body, hairs on both ends are black.

Habitat:

Forest: underneath wet log.

Notes:

I turned over some decaying wood and unexpectedly found this small caterpillar. It didn't seem to be in the best of shape, but I returned it to its original position. Found at Barbara A. Beiser Field Station.
