Morpho menelaus caterpillars look different . . . https://picasaweb.google.com/leonasay/Iquitos#5082669056688847874 . . . with the "Blue morpho" Mongabay photo in the above link misidentified (should also be M. helenor or very near kin).
This is interesting. I never knew the larva of the morpho. It seems they are show offs at all stages of their lives.
Wow! at first I thought he was swimming! Stunning caterpilar.
